HeadshotJim McCluskey, is the Collection Development Assistant Manager at Sno-Isle Libraries. He has worked in public libraries in many capacities including a stint as Winnie the Pooh in the local parade, something he vows he will never repeat.

He has degrees from the University of Washington in history (B.A. 1986) and librarianship (MLS 1989). He enjoys speaking to groups about digital media, social software and libraries. He has been interviewed by trade journals and consulting agencies about downloadable media and libraries. In 2006 he was a featured presenter at Digipalooza, the International OverDrive User Group conference something he will be doing again later this year.

When he isn’t buying music, DVDs or downloadable materials for the library, he enjoys going to concerts especially Pearl Jam with his wife, Marie and his two sons Tristan and Cameron. Though he and his two sisters are all librarians it would seem he needs an image consultant, since the words, “oh my god, no way”, are the most frequent response he hears when he tells acquaintances that he’s a librarian.
